Robert “Evel” Knievel was an American daredevil who performed death-defying airborne stunts in the 1960s and ‘70s. Although he passed away in 2007 at the age of 69, memory of the cultural icon remains very much alive in the 2015 documentary film Being Evel — and most importantly — the restoration of Knievel’s 1974 Mack show truck, affectionately known as “Big Red.”
