The 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee is updated with new technology, interior features and an all-new hot rod Trackhawk model with 707 horsepower, capable of hustling its 5,300 pounds from zero to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds.
The Grand Cherokee also sees a couple of special editions to round out the already-robust model lineup.

Pricing
- The 2018 Grand Cherokee begins at $32,340 with $1,445 in destination charges.
- Range-topping Trackhawk models start at $87,645 after $1,445 destination fee.
- The 2017 Grand Cherokee had a starting price of $31,840 after destination.
Trims
- The 2018 Grand Cherokee is available in seven variants: Laredo, Limited, Trailhawk, Overland, Summit, SRT and Trackhawk.
- No hybrid, plug-in hybrid or electric version is available
Dimensions
- All Grand Cherokees measure 189.8 inches long and 84.8 inches wide, with a wheelbase of 114.7 inches.
Powertrain
- A 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 is standard on Laredo, Limited, Trailhawk, Overland and Summit models. It produces 295 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque.
- Limited, Trailhawk, Overland and Summit models can be equipped with an optional 5.7-liter V8 that is rated at 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque or a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 that makes 240 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque.
- SRT models come with a 6.4-liter V8 under the hood making 475 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque.
- The Grand Cherokee Trackhawk’s 6.2-liter supercharged V8 is capable of 707 horsepower and 645 pound-feet of torque.
- All models include some variation of an 8-speed automatic transmission. Trackhawk models add paddle shifters and selectable drive modes like snow, eco and track.
Towing
- Max trailer weight for 3.6-liter V6-equipped Grand Cherokees is 6,200 pounds. All other models are rated at 7,200 pounds, with the exception of the 2×2 EcoDiesel model, which can pull 7,400 pounds.
Mileage
- Pentastar-equipped Grand Cherokees are estimated at 19 mpg city/26 mpg highway/21 mpg combined with 2WD and 18 mpg city/25 mpg highway/21 mpg combined with 4WD.
- The 5.7-liter V8 pulls an EPA-estimated 14 mpg city/22 mpg highway/17 mpg combined with its 4WD-only configuration.
- EcoDiesel models’ fuel economy is estimated at 21 mpg city/28 mpg highway/24 mpg combined with 4WD and 22 mpg city/30 mpg highway/25 mpg combined with 2WD.
- 6.4-liter V8-equipped models achieve up to 13 mpg city/19 mpg highway/15 mpg combined.
- The Trackhawk, with its 6.2-liter supercharged V8, is good for up to 11 mpg city/17 mpg highway/13 mpg combined.
Safety
- Summit, SRT and Trackhawk models get standard advanced safety features like adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts and forward-collision warning. These features are optional on Limited, Trailhawk and Overland models.

Infotainment
- Laredo and Limited models get a 7-inch display. All others come with an 8.4-inch screen standard.
- SiriusXM is standard on all but Laredo models, which can add it with options packages.
- All models now get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
- All Grand Cherokees come with two USB ports and an auxiliary jack.
- Alpine premium 9-speaker audio or Harman Kardon 19-speaker 825-watt audio are optional on most models.
