The GMC Savana is a full-size commercial van that competes with the Ford Transit, Ram ProMaster and Chevrolet Express.

The Savana 3500 is nearly identical to the less expensive 2500 model but has stronger axles and suspension that increase its overall payload capacity. The GMC van line has remained virtually unchanged for many years, and the 2019 Savana’s main update is the addition of optional advanced safety features. Both versions of the Savana are sold in cargo, passenger and cutaway configurations that allow for conversion to specialty vehicles like an ambulance or school bus.
