April’s Best Heavy-Duty Truck Purchase and Lease Deals

Heavy-duty trucks don’t have to come with large price tags with the incentives automakers are offering this month. Chevrolet and GMC are knocking thousands off their trucks, and Nissan is promoting a 0 percent financing deal.

Trucks.com compiled a list of deals that represent the best value for consumers. Incentives vary by region, so check with a local dealership. And don’t be afraid to negotiate.

The deals in this article are valid through at least April 30, although some may be extended.

2019 Chevrolet 2500HD

Deal: 11 percent below MSRP

The Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD starts at $37,600 and can top $60,000 when equipped. It has has 445 maximum available horsepower and 910 maximum available torque. Those numbers vary by powertrain. Chevy offers the 2500HD with three power plants: a 6.0-liter V8 gasoline engine, a 6.0-liter V8 CNG/LPG-capable engine and a Duramax 6.6-liter V8 diesel. All come with either two- or four-wheel drive.

Like the Silverado 1500, the 2500HD comes in a number of trims including the base WT, LT, LTZ and top-tier High Country. The truck comes with the Essentials Package that includes an all-weather floor liner, soft tonneau cover and assist steps. Features can be added from the Convenience Package including remote keyless entry, tinted glass, a remote locking tailgate and heated mirrors.

Owners of competitors’ trucks who want to make the switch to the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD can save 11 percent off MSRP when they finance with GM Financial.

2019 Ford Super Duty STX

Deal: $2,500 cash back and $1,500 bonus cash

The Ford Super Duty is a formidable work truck. Not only is it extremely capable, but it also was named the highest ranked large heavy-duty pickup in initial quality by JD Power. Its body is made of high-strength, military-grade, aluminum alloy and it easily transitions from highway to rural road to worksite driving conditions to off-road terrain.

This offer expires July 1.

2019 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali

Deal: 9 percent below MSRP

The Sierra 2500HD starts at $38,200, but the top-tier 2500 Denali HD starts at $56,600 and tops out around $70,000. The model has 445 maximum horsepower and has a conventional trailering capacity of 13,000 pounds. It has a maximum payload of 3,232 pounds.

This offer on the GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali with four-wheel drive, a crew cab and the Duramax Plus Package includes a $4,735 price reduction below the MSRP and a $1,767 purchase allowance. Eligible current lessees and owners of non-GM vehicles receive an additional 2 percent purchase allowance.

2018 Nissan Titan XD SL & Platinum

Deal: $0 down payment, 0 percent financing for 36 months, no monthly payments for 90 days, $2,187 in package savings

The Nissan Titan XD is a powerful truck that bridges the gap between the traditional full-size and heavy-duty segments. Though it isn’t as capable as some of Ford, Chevrolet, Ram and GMC’s heavy-duty trucks, the Titan XD can still haul and tow what the average recreational buyer seeks. Every new 2018 Titan XD is backed by Nissan’s bumper-to-bumper coverage of 5 years/100,000 miles.

This offer expires April 30.

2018 Ram 2500

The Ram 2500 is a capable truck powered by a 6.4-liter V8 engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. It has four-wheel disc brakes, heavy-duty shock absorbers and a heavy-duty suspension. The truck’s cabin features a 40/20/40 split bench seat, heated front seats, a 60/40 split-folding rear seat and rear under-seat storage.

This offer on the Ram 2500 Laramie with a crew cab, two-wheel drive and an 8-foot box expires April 30 and includes a $6,500 average dealer discount and $4,000 in customer cash.

2018 Ram 3500

Despite being a generation old, the Ram 3500 has the power and capability many buyers want. It’s powered by a 6.4-liter V8 engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Standard equipment includes heavy-duty engine cooling, electric shift-on-the-fly transfer case, four-wheel disc brakes and heavy-duty shock absorbers. It has bucket front seats, a 60/40 split-folding rear seat, a leather-wrapped shift knob, second-row in-floor storage and a wood and leather-wrapped steering wheel.
