Paccar Inc. has named Preston Feight as chief executive effective July 1. He succeeds Ron Armstrong, who is retiring after serving as chief executive since April 2014.
Feight, currently Paccar executive vice president, also was elected a company director.
“Preston Feight is an outstanding leader who has made significant contributions to Paccar’s excellent record of profitable growth and its industry-leading products and services,” said Mark Pigott, Paccar executive chairman.
Feight, 51, helped Paccar deliver revenue and profit growth, Pigott said. In his 21 years at the company, Feight has served as president of DAF Trucks and vice president and general manager of Kenworth Truck Co., as well as Kenworth assistant general manager of sales and marketing and chief engineer.
DAF, Kenworth and Peterbilt Motors Co. are Paccar subsidiaries. The company has 28,000 employees globally.
“PACCAR’s technology focus has positioned the company as a leader in advanced powertrains such as diesel, electric and hydrogen fuel cells, as well as sophisticated driver-assistance systems and truck connectivity,” Feight said.
