Ford Motor Co. plans to export its high-performance, off-road, F-150 Raptor SuperCrew pickup truck to China starting next year.
The automaker already exports versions of the F-150 to 96 countries but has not sold the pickup in China previously.
The 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor will be built at Ford’s factory in Dearborn, Mich.
The F-150 Raptor will have “low volume” sales in China, said Mike Levine, a Ford spokesman. He declined to say whether the number would be in the hundreds or thousands.
