The 2019 GMC Sierra 2500HD is a full-size pickup truck that competes with the Ram 2500 and the Ford F-250 Super Duty. It is part of the third-generation GMC Sierra HD vehicles, which were introduced for 2014.

  • The 2019 GMC Sierra 2500HD is built on the GM K2 platform that it shares with the 2019 GMC Sierra HD and the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD.

PRICING

  • The 2019 GMC Sierra 2500HD starts at $38,200 plus a $1,495 destination charge.
  • The top-of-the-line Sierra Denali models start at $56,400 plus a $1,395 destination charge and can top $77,800 with options.

  • The size of the Sierra 2500HD depends on a number of factors. The double cab model with the standard box has a 144.2-inch wheelbase and a 230-inch overall length. With a long box, the wheelbase is 158.1 inches, and the overall length is 248.9 inches.
  • The crew cab models with the standard box have a 153.7-inch wheelbase and a 239.5-inch overall length. With a long box, the wheelbase is 239.5 inches, and the overall length is 258.4 inches.
  • The overall width for all models is 80.5 inches.

POWERTRAIN

  • The base engine in the 2019 GMC Sierra 2500HD is a 6.0-liter V8 gas engine that produces 360 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. A Duramax 6.6-liter turbodiesel that produces 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque is available on crew cab models.
  • No hybrid, plug-in hybrid or full-electric powertrains are available.
  • Two-wheel and four-wheel drive are available.
  • A Sierra All Terrain HD premium off-road package is offered on SLT crew cab models with all-wheel drive. It features 18-inch aluminum wheels, all-terrain tires and a body-color grille with black and chrome accents. An All Terrain X HD package that includes 18-inch black aluminum wheels and Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires is available on the SLT trim.
  • All 2019 GMC Sierra 2500HDs use a six-speed automatic transmission. The 6.0-liter gas version uses a Hydra-Matic 6L90 while the 6-6-liter diesel uses an Allison 1000.
